Your Favorite Three Books of the Year

Your Favorite Three Books of the Year

Believe it or not, the 2012 Tournament of Books is almost here. Sponsored again by our good friends at Field Notes, this year’s tournament will be our best one yet. But to get there we need your help.

All year long, we keep track of the books we think will be great candidates for the tournament—books we loved, books we talked about, books we heard discussed on a plane. You know the rules: As long as it was a novel published in English in 2011, we’ll consider it. Heck, some books that made it into previous brackets didn’t even meet those criteria.

So we’ve got a good list of books going for 2011, but we want to hear from you. What were your favorite three books this year and why? We’re going to release the 2012 shortlist soon, in early January—that way everyone can get their reading started—and your suggestions will be invaluable.

Thank you, and happy Thanksgiving.

TMN’s editors have been wishing each other happy birthday since the 20th century. Long live the pan flute, mini mafia, and Michael Jackson. More by The Editors
