Judge Lest Ye Fear the Rooster

This contest is now closed. Thank you to all who entered.

The ninth annual Tournament of Books is right around the corner. Since it keeps working out so well (e.g., reader judge Roxy Reno’s contribution last year), we’re running a contest again to find a TMN reader who wants to join our judging panel.

To enter, send an email to talk@themorningnews.org that explains, in no more than 100 words, why you’d make a great judge. Please also include the best way to contact you (email, phone, etc.) and two additional things: 1) your favorite aspect of the Tournament; 2) something you’d like to see improved, and how.

All entries are due by midnight EST on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012. Entry for this contest is now closed. We’ll notify the winner the following week when we release the book finalists for 2013. Good luck!

Tournament commissioner Kevin Guilfoile is the author most recently of A Drive Into the Gap. Tournament color commentator John Warner’s debut novel The Funny Man was published by Soho Press in 2011. Tournament chairs Andrew Womack and Rosecrans Baldwin are TMN’s co-founders. Baldwin’s most recent book Paris, I Love You but You’re Bringing Me Down was named GQ’s 18th best thing of 2012, nine pegs short of Maroon 5’s Adam Levine. Nozlee Samadzadeh is the ToB’s producer.
