One of the best albums Echo & The Bunnymen recorded and, certainly, their most ambitious. Three years before finally infiltrating American shores with their Doors-esque ‘Bedbugs and Ballyhoo’ (or their cover of The Doors’ ‘People Are Strange,’ for that matter), The Bunnymen astounded the music world with this beautifully orchestrated pop gem, featuring such bona-fide classics as ‘Silver,’ ‘Nocturnal Me,’ and ‘The Killing Moon.’ This is a must-listen that alternates between darkness and light and, in some understated way, perfectly captures the holiday mood.
